This weekend saw a new all day training configuration with splitting the two all day training session into four. Although they were three hours instead of six it worked out really well despite the restricted training elements at the moment. Saturday saw the colour belts in two groups working through all their fundamentals, patterns, set sparring procedures and techniques, without partners, sticking to social distancing at all times.

Sunday also saw two groups of black belts, 1st & 2nd dans in the morning working through lots of fundamentals and then covering their patterns, finishing with some set sparring. The afternoon session had 3rd to 6th dans also working through their fundamentals and all patterns from Sam-IL to Tong-IL.

It was a refreshing change to be able to teach smaller groups enabling more focus and correction to individuals. I have had some great feedback from students who liked the different setup which might bring some change for the future training days.
