UTA Umpires course 12th May 2018
I would like to encourage all 14 years and above black belts to take part in the UTA umpires course to be held on Saturday 12th May 2018 between 3pm - 5.30pm in Biggleswade, so please put this in your diary and book the day off work if needed.
You may not be interested in competing but this doesn’t mean you have to exclude yourself from competitions. Competitions are a great way of meeting new people and giving something back to Taekwon-Do not to mention becoming even more familiar with the technical aspect of your patterns and the other disciplines of your training. This in turn makes you a better practitioner, not to mention that this is a requirement to obtain your 4th degree International Instructor status.
We can’t run competitions without umpires so we are in need of you all.
The UTA competition is on following Saturday 19th May where you can practice your new skills.
These skills can then be taken to the UKITF competition in October. I would like to dispel the myth of not being qualified enough to umpire at the national competitions as taking part in the UTA umpires course will make you qualified at any national event.
