The Hitchin Tkd School was established in 1987 which makes it the longest running ITF Taekwon-Do club in Hitchin and possibly Hertfordshire. The club has gone from strength to strength with over 280 students from Little Dragons to 6th degree black belt (4 years old to over 60 years old).
The Stevenage Tkd School was established in 2000 which now has over 80 students and growing and the Barton-Le-Clay Tkd School is growning all the time.
The clubs and myself Glenn Horan are recognised by the International Taekwon-do Federation, UKITF and the BTC.
The clubs are also members of the Unified Taekwon-Do Association which is a member of UKITF who are the governing body for the ITF and are members of the British Taekwon-do Council recognised by the sports council.
I have attended many of the late GrandMaster Choi Hong Hi seminars and Instructors courses and more recently GrandMaster Choi Jung Hwa 9th Dan (Gen Choi's son) to enable us to teach the true techniques without distortion.
I am dedicated to teach Taekwon-do to anyone who wishes to learn, I believe that Tkd is for anyone and everyone. So whether you are fit, unfit, young, or older, you to can learn this exciting form of self-defence.
Although it is much more than just self-defence it can be life changing for some people.
If you choose to join the school then you will get 100% commitment from all of us and will gain so much you will be amazed.
All of our Instructors have had an enhanced CRB check and are registered with the British Taekwon-Do Council which is recognised by the sports council. They have attended an Instructor course and had a practical assessment before being certified. Check out the BTC safeguarding policy on the right under applications and certificates.
The Hitchin club is in the process of applying for clubmark through the BTC.
