Dear Students and Parents,
Over the past two weeks, we’ve been teaching students what to expect at a competition. Please find some follow-up information below;
- Equipment: All competitors must have a full sparring kit including gum shield and groin guard for all Male competitors taking part in sparring. All competitors must wear an approved UTA uniform.
- Supervision: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Finding the venue: Highfield School, Highfield, Letchworth. View the parking and sports hall map.
- Running order: This will be emailed during the week leading up to the competition.
- Arrival: Please arrive five minutes before your or your child’s allocated division is scheduled to begin.
- Timings: The schedule is approximate, so a division may start later than listed. It will not start before its scheduled time.
- Ring assignment: Once you arrive, listen for announcements about your or your child’s division and ring.
- Competition rules: Read the patterns and sparring guide for cadets, juniors, adults and seniors. (The designated pattern will be the lowest for each division).
